Social care training sometimes has a reputation for being overly formal and disconnected from real services.
Training delivered through Innovative Pathways is designed to be different.
Sessions are interactive, practical and grounded in real experience of working in services. Staff are encouraged to talk openly about situations they encounter in their work and explore practical ways of responding.
The aim is always to help staff leave sessions feeling more confident and better equipped for the work they do every day.
Training sessions often include group discussions, activities, real-life examples and opportunities for staff to reflect on their own practice.
Training can be delivered across a wide range of topics including but not limited to:
Positive Behaviour Support and behaviour analysis.
Safeguarding adults.
Autism awareness.
Mental health awareness.
Learning disability awareness.
Support planning and risk assessment development.
Leadership and management development.
De-escalation and responding to distressed behaviour.
Training can be delivered in person or online and can be adapted to meet the needs of individual organisations.
